Yewande Sadiku, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NIPC) is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Yewande arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja around noon on Monday.
Detectives are seeking answers on allegations bordering on corrupt practices.
She is being grilled for alleged abuse of office, contract fraud and allowances unaccounted for.
Yewande is providing responses and will remain with the EFCC for at least another day.
Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren has confirmed the NIPC chief is with operatives. Details of her probe are expected in due course.
