ODILI, OBIANO....But Gov. Obiano remains resolute in keeping Mr. Odili as his runner. WAP gathered that his removal might backfire on the Gov. Obiano. “Obiano has used this guy for a year, and they know each other’s dirty laundry,” a source confided.

In an inexplicable story making rounds in the news media,  Primus Odili, the Chief of Staff to Governor of Anambra State, Governor Willie Obiano, was earlier this week busted over a  $2 million real-estate deal in the faraway state of Tennessee, United States.

Mr. Odili had in April, one of the worst months of the current Pandemic, acquired a lavish property on 1804 Terrabrooke  Court, Brentwood, Tennessee. Property purchased in Mr. Odili’s name and the wife Maureen was listed for $1,818,718 but purchased for more than $2 million, WAP gathered.

The court sits on a private upscale sloppy district, off of Split Log Road across from Tuscany Hills, and occupies a whopping 33,069 SqFt landmass.

However, Gov. Obiano’s knowledge of this deal, as well as other questionable activities executed by this trusted Chief-of-Staff, remains another shocker currently under media scrutiny. Mr. Odili has been Gov. Obiano’s errand boy and runner until he joined his administration as his personal assistant. To further create an uninterrupted ground to carry out and protect the Governor’s interests, Mr. Odili was promoted by Gov. Obiano to become his Chief-of-Staff. A position that gave him more access to government assets as well as work closely with the Governor.

Guardian gathered that Mr. Odili and the Governor collaborate on interests unrelated to official business, including; personal trade deals, suppression of individuals opposed to government policies, procurement of oversea properties, and investments. WAP’s interview request to Mr. Odili has not been responded to as of press time.

Mr. Odili is not new to scandals and fraud, Guardian gathered. Before joining Obiano’s staff of appointees,   he was involved in defrauding a Nashville-based spine clinic. WAP gathered that Mr. Odili colluded with his wife Maureen to divert both money and patients from the clinic.

Then, in 2019, he was invited, detained, and finally released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] over allegations of fraud. Following a series of allegations of underhanded activities, a group of Anambra indigenes led a demonstration at the Anambra state Liason  Office in Abuja, asking for Mr. Odili’s removal.

But Gov. Obiano remains resolute in keeping Mr. Odili as his runner. Guardian gathered that his removal might backfire on the Gov. Obiano. “That might not be a good idea. Obiano has used this guy for  years, and they know each other’s dirty laundry,” a source confided.
